About Rachel Brushia

I am so excited to be starting a new school year teaching 3rd grade at Green Forest Elementary!   This is my 25^th year!  I spent 21 of those years teaching at Green Forest.  Every year except my first, I've taught 3rd Grade.  I absolutely LOVE my job, and  I KNOW it's going to be a GREAT school year!

I've been married to my wonderful husband, Richard, for 19 years now.  In fact, he proposed to me on Valentine's Day in my 3rd grade classroom with the help of my students!  It was truly a day I will always remember and probably the whole school as well!

I have 2 terrific stepsons and 2 daughters in-law that I love with all my heart. Richie is 30, graduated from Harrison High School 12 years ago, has a job in Harrison remodeling homes, & got married to the sweetest girl on June 4, 2016.  Her name is Aliva, and she is now 26.  Alivia graduated from nursing school & is now living her dream as an OB nurse!.  Alivia & Richie live in Harrison & have a super smart son named Rhett and precious twin baby boys named Gus and Decker.  So I am proud to say that I am a GLAMMA!  My stepson, Donavon, is 27, graduated from Harrison High School 9 years ago, loves to fish, & is the manager of Sonic in Yellville, Arknasas.  He married the other sweetest girl on September 11, 2021.  Her name is Kacey. She is 22 and stays at home to take care of my other adorable grandson, Elijah, and is expecting our 5^th grandchild in February of 2024!  Donavon & Kacey have a home in Lakeway, Arkansas.  My husband & I enjoy being GRANDPARENTS more than anything else in the WORLD!

We are also blessed with our Min. Pin. named Daisy.  As you can probably guess, she is super spoiled!  She is our miracle baby girl.  She arrived on our doorstep one day out of nowhere when she was just a pup. She also survived a “shopping trip” a few years ago to Wal-Mart in which she crossed 5 lanes of traffic & was found perfectly safe & sound by a nice lady in the parking lot!

We were SO thrilled to find out that we would be GRANDPARENTS for the first time in August of 2017! 

Since then we have been blessed with 3 more grandsons with another grandbaby on the way February of 2024, and we love them ALL to the moon and back!
